The Brighton 64 are one of the most famous names in the music scene and long-lived "underground" Spanish was in 1983 when he saw the light the first musical project of brothers Albert and Ricky Gil where inspired by the famous battles between mods and rockers on the beach Brighton in the summer of 64 gave rise to this band that next year will copiuto 30 years of history, between divisions, creations of other bands parallel and occasional reunions. Today, after having recorded throughout the spring and summer of this year, sees the light of this new work, managing to reunite the original band memebri: Santi Garcia and Tino Peralbo, brothers Gil took from their old songs that had no effect drawer and never designed their quest for new album. The sound is a powerpop-influenced 60s very marked, not by chance that we have strong interference of organ and moog in their songs. In a recent interview said that this work was a great experience, because it met four heads all coming from different musical experiences after the dissolution of Brighton in 89, thus giving different pulse directional sounds to be produced for this new effort. In short, a work worthy of note and a sound that sets them apart even now, to tell you more .... long live to Brighton 64!
Good work by Marco Bergamo with an average size and hardcover book that gives us a glimpse of the 20-year history of the rally now become the most famous of Italy and Europe. We have pictures of all the old and new Mods that have participated in the rally, some who still participate in the first event and say the new "regulars" of the scene, ie those who are constantly involved in the recent years. We have: the story is that all the impressions of the author in English to demonstrate the fact that the book has a strong European component, and which therefore is a product intended for a diverse clientele of Italian and. I have to say that apart from my photos, I do not like very much (at least one of my last fucking time you could enter the noo!), The rest is really beautiful color photos and black and white. Lavarone now, like many other gatherings of Europe has become a myth for the Mods and participate is now an obligation rather than a pleasure! .. Great guys .. keep it up!
This was billed as a comeback album. "Streets in the Sky" may offer a new lease on life for "The Enemy". In this review we will try to avoid the hype and unrealistic expectations. However, it is very tempting to look back at all the wonderful things that the band has been able to achieve over the years. Starting from Coventry, this group of three members, was able to conquer the world with their unique approach to sing and play music. The album was recorded with Joby Ford from Bronx. Includes 12 tracks (which is a rather high number), but they tried to ensure no loss of quality for each individual compound. "Streets in the Sky" opens with a catchy melody. "Give me the sign" is a play on words for another famous overnight. Tom Clarke is definitely very happy with the final product: "I am proud of every album we ever done, the sound seems solid and the songs are some of the best songs we ve ever written." They spent three years working on the songs and some people began to wonder if it was a break or a complete break with the music industry. "Give me the sign" offers a glimpse into the future, while "Bigger Cages (Longer Chains)" is a call to freedom. In this review, we appreciate the urgency of "Saturday" and "1 -2-3-4." The band takes a lighter note with: "like a dancer." The listener is seduced by "Come into my world." The aggressive side of the band is brought to life with "This Is Real" before slipping back into safety: "2 kids". Then you wake up with "Turn It On" and the song that becomes wisdom: "It is a race." I was struck by the energy, "Get up and Dance" and the strength of: "Make a man". In general, the album has a light touch and this is in line with the ideas that have been expressed by the Enemy, after their previous album focused on politics. C is a lot of material on "Streets in the Sky". The band has used contrasting styles of the songs so that the listener never really an excuse to be bored at any point on the disc. Only, perhaps, negative note is that the titles and texts are too similar to those of bands of the past (see The Jam). They remind us of earlier hits that could affect the credibility of the band.
The band second album of indie Mod Northampton, The Moons, was personal soundtrack of Sir Bradley Wiggins, his glorious victory of the Tour de France in the early part of the year ... A company is not just PR, and with glowing praise from Paul Weller ("a lot of love went into this record") and Dave Davies (The Kinks), big things are expected from "Fables of History." Manufactured by Stan Kybert (Oasis, Massive Attack, The Rifles and The Coral) and fronted by singer / songwriter / guitarist Andy Crofts (the man behind the Hammond organ in the band Weller), this work is timeless songs and sets British style the legendary Kinks. "Jennifer (Sits Alone)" recent single is a dream, "acoustic-driven muse", imbued with psychedelic 60s and resplendent with cavernous percussion, sfuature of organoi, mellatrons and even a trombone. The agreements are often a quality that knows how to back ("Love Double Vision", "Summer Inglese") with reverb harmonies and layers of water glittering guitar and Hammond. The sounds markedly distinctive Weller, and tones Beatlesiani give a stunning effect. C is the occasional kooky 60s style rocker added to the flavor, too (It is Taking Over) pushed through a low "fuzzed-up" and a battery "spanking." This album should put The Moons firmly on the map of the new bands of the indie scene / British pop.
Secret Affair - Soho Dreams - I-Spy Rec. - CD digipackSoho Dreams is the new studio album maneuver for Secret Affair, which successfully capture the atmosphere, the attitude, the style and quality of established band with their debut album Glory Boys. The album has won critical acclaim and has set a very high benchmark for their peers in the Modernist revival in 1979. Soho Dreams are not just hits that mark, it also offers an album that the band has long promised to their fans. The title track sets familiar themes, the charm of the city, the loss of innocence, suss cynicism. With the scene set, Secret Affair get to work. Walk Away is what the band does best: the integration of a large hook line and guitar riffs with a Motown rhythm, punchy brass, soaring sax, and Ian Page philosophical pathos. Guaranteed to get a public channel where even less good at dancing succeed. The pace of the album is given a shot of amphetamine with: Turn Me On, which, Ian Page sets respecting the rhymes as the best poetic lyricists such as Ian Dury and John Cooper Clarke, placing them in a song that could easily fit on the B side Ill Manners. Love Unkind then cools the rhythm in a song examination of conscience which may have been written by Amy Winehouse. Ian Page delivers powerful sound with the passion of Otis Redding. You can feel the sincere sorrow of the artist. The intro notes of the first steps in the film Get Carter to introduce the beautiful: I dont Need No Doctor. The only cover of the album is an interpretation, the entire staff on the storm of sound that you will receive!. Lotus Dream is perhaps the pleasant surprise of an album where guitarist Dave Cairns captures the country blues of the Mississippi Delta, you can feel the extreme heat and sweat dripping down his forehead. The Secret Affair have never been afraid to embrace a variety of musical styles, but this album has a cohesion that develops their ambitions, each track brings something new to the melting pot and adds another level of depth. All The Rage is a piece for dancers and has a rhythm that recalls: Let Your Heart Dance. I can imagine Imelda May sing out loud and quests album is completed with two spiccanti songs: Soul of the city, whose passion Soul Jazz in the auditor s opinion over Kevin Rowland in attempts to give a new soul, and the final song of the album : Ride, whose statement of faith is pinning hopes of giving her a skeptical sound very contemporary! Soho Dreams not only meets the die hard fan for Secret Affair, but exceeds the glories of the past and captivate a new audience, the band rightly deserves. Ian Page and Dave Cairns can proudly walk aa head on this for their new job!
Is it true that the praises bring bad? From that wrote marvels at the end of 2007, the Vampisoul has alternated good things to some slip and a bunch of cute little things sometimes, more often negligible. The two volumes of the series R & B Hipshakers restored over the quotes with his fish in historical brands such as King, Federal and Deluxe in a time frame that connects the mid 50s and 60s. Is unique, Otis Redding, who in a 45 68 recalls Little Richard with Shout Bamalama, where else could sottotitolarsi "black American graffiti" and no one would say. Between instrumental ironic (Marsanova, Bossa Nova Watusi Twist) and Mike Pedicin ahead of the Specials (Burnt Toast And Black Coffee) do not escape the reasons for so much popularity of this material among lovers of materia.Se Mary Johnson has the flavor of transition period, Rudy Ray Moore mixes swing and call & response because it is the 56, if Jail Bird of El Pauling & Royal Abbit jumps out of "Animal House," Hank Ballard & His Midnighters take two beautiful songs - among bluesnroll and the flight from Sunday mass - to remind us that there were, too. Elsewhere savor the innocence of latent stood behind the chair and let you unrivet numbers impossible to resist, applauding good and mischievous Monkey Tonight Eddie Kirk of the parties to a James Brown shot blues. Tasty collection for listeners warned, manna from heaven for holders of DJ sets. The Everything has been compiled and linked by a Mr. Fine Wine, one of the largest collectors of RnSoul 45 of the United States residing in New York and reviewer of several "magazine" American specialist in the industry as Billboard, as well as a supporter of various radio programs of the "big Apple"! Obligatory purchase for all Moddy boys that are observed!
To tell the truth I never spent too much time thinking about the real value of the Dandy Warhols. At least one thing I always, so they make an amazing name, which moreover reflects well the nature of the game caught the collegiate background or if you prefer dick of them making music that has been able to fire at least two individual point across - I mean obviously a Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth 97 and the Bohemian Like You in 2001 - which owed much of their fame. It is one of their best work, varied and swollen, a cabaret citationist catchy, clever and shrewd guesses that almost all the moves, eventually seem quite appropriate in these days of schizoid mix of styles with the hype frantically in the viewfinder. So, once recommended to refrain for those in search of specific gravity and weight, we can amuse without scruples with pop art at the turn of 80s and 90s The Autumn Carnival (Xtc caught in the web Blur?), With evanescence Morricone between dreamy mirage of "Dont Shoot She Cried" with the Tanita Tikaram hypnotized Massive Attack "Well They are Gone," with groove ciccioso and perturbed wave of Sad Vacation, with curtain Magnetic Fields of Rest your Head, with sbruffonaggine neurasthenic Morphine of 16 Tons and so forth. I do not know if you understood the hint. Eventually even the touch of redundant and specious Tchad Blake - who was in charge of mixing - is size and appropriate conditions for play. If only for this, chapeau.
A Sanremo 2012 behaved well enough to earn the right to a post in Eurovision Song Contest (Baku 2012) with the song "Forever". We are talking about Nina Zilli, Milanese artist that brings up the name of our musical tradition thanks to a retro inspired look to artists like Mina and which is clearly not dated but manages to be extremely appealing even to this day. These same features, except for the track that opens the record, can be found on the new album, "Love is Female", very tasty work that earns even more points to the artist. After the jump you can find our review of the project . 12 songs to play with, and that you can bring in as "summer memories" or where it seems to be in one of those old movies of the year 50/60. Good Job, I would only recommend if you have a lot more focused on the sounds discography blacks!
Born from the ashes of the most famous punk band called Roman Taxi, this baby quartet brings us, like a punch in the stomach, in a period of between 71 and 74 where in London dominated the "Glam Rock" or, as they call the bands more "working class", the "Street rock n roll." There are 10 pieces that sound very powerful and that resemble those created by bands such as: Jooks, the Hammersmith Gorillas, Slade or Sweet. With a iconogrtafia which is a mixture of football and rock from the road and of course all texts in English, they speak of issues typical of 70s rock: Girls, Saturdays spent in discos or pubs and speed of motorcycles chrome. Great disc recommended for those who love the rock to 360 degrees and locks in small worlds have now disappeared ....... Mod too! Highly recommended to all!
Good second job for this band Barakaldo town situated in the province of Vizcaya in the Basque Country are 12 songs sung in English, ranging from beat / soul and r'n'b. Not bad, even if very dry, low fertility of Hammond organ that expands the sound and the coil, creating a higher groove 'cause, listen so' the first impact, they sound all a bit 'the same. we take into account that it is not 'easy to make music that has a black matrix so' marked and anyway the lyrics are very beautiful and the graphics and 'well cared for, and then add that' a Mod band 100%, I say that the product not 'evil. So I would recommend them if nothing else, 'cause nowadays Mod band there are very few ... the rest I leave to you ...!
Great band of Granada composed of 6 elements, all original skins playing a skinhead reggae back and really see them straight out of the 70s. This combo offers us in their second 11 songs sung in Castilian (Spanish for .. or less accustomed to the Iberian culture), reminiscent of the very first albums released at the beginning of the 70's in London! .. You have no doubt for all lovers of ska, rocksteady and reggae!
Latest chapter in the saga begun by Rob Bailey, leader and promoter organization Mod most 'famous in the world: The New Untouchables, where in this new CD there are 20 gems (16 for the LP format) of pure freakbeat, garagepsych or popsike. They are all individual very rare and hard to find 'that usually are played, as well as the 60's Mod Easter gathering in London that work by its name: Le Beat Bespoke', also in London club: Mousetrap, in its version called: "Fuzz for Freaks" or you can listen to them in rallies 60's / Mod such as that of "ognidsanti" which takes place in the summer or Lavarone Euro Ye Ye Gijon. Nothing to complain, good album that I recommend to all lovers of white noise! ...
Two years after the release of their first LP debut from Vienna Austria, back with a BANG! putting out their new album, "Gettin 'all' for all those who were still desperately waiting dell'insano and danceable R'n'B action. These guys celebrate the aesthetics of mod swingin '60's to perfection. Style is in the clothes in their music, with a traditional mixture of: soul, beat, r'n'b, all designed to recreate the sound that was right in bands such as: Animals, Them, the Yardbirds and Spencer Davis Group or artist the likes of Bo Diddley. Remember, both movements in standing on stage, bands current or recent death, such as: Jaybirds, The Moving Sounds and What For ... their album and 'practically consists of 11 songs all explosive ..... to have at all costs!
Yet another compilation of bands such pseudo Mod or where to lord and 'music beat. You are here 'as many as 16 pieces of blue eyed soul or r'n'beat or freakbeat, all made from European bands with an apparent Mod look, the sound and production are not bad and plus' still one of the few vinyl pirate fact: "from the Mods Mods for", as some might say, then take to the air for a flutter of having to print and distribute. The sounds are all Pulitini, nothing smearing towards the psychedelic pop or rock! Excellent for those closest to white noise for the first time. Not bad in fact, if he be found to have around, because even he struggled to find it in myself.
Great combo for this second album that sounds 12 pieces of Girona soulful style of those produced by most of the artists 'famous Detroit record label best known to most people' with the name: Tamla Motown. Nothing to complain, having trod the stage in Spain and those of Europe and half after shoulder to Maxine Brown's last Euro Ye Ye, consider the 'purchase of the disk very well for all lovers of classic soul. Besides, as you can see from the cover you have is all in a very suitable and stylish, a real mid 60's style soul band! A must have!
All 260 pages are written in Catalan, signifying the great diversity 'socio / cultural heritage that exists in Spain, as elsewhere in Europe. Robert Abella wanted to write this book after having written one in Spanish: "The Story of a Renascer" above the Mod revival of the 80, to give a contribution to their language and their land, the Catalunya! It has a foreword by another bellisssima Mod, Kiko Amat, famous for his novels centered figures with the Mods or similar in attitude, which he describes how this movement was experienced in a spontaneous but very hard from the first Mods of Barcelona, and finally, we have 40 self-interviews and personal descriptions of what it meant and means to be "mod" for each one of them, related by 2 photos: one when they started and one in their current "status model". Names of prominent local landscape respondents are: Alberto Valle (Promoter italiberico several clubs in Milan / Barcelona as well as' black music DJ and reviewer), Lluis Cardenal (aka DJ R'n'B), Alber, Gil (bassist for Brighton 64) and Sebas Aviles (aka DJ freakbeat). So for those like me who has curiosity 'and strives to understand a little "next", this is' an excellent book to see the different points of view on the Mod scene past and present.
Discreet CD that contains the history, between individual and acetates, a band that has walked the Mod scene, even if for a short period. Rats fact I started with the playing of the excellent british r'n'b and ended in the early 70's playing style of rockblues Faces. In this CD you have 18 songs that are part of all their produce 3 more official records of a reunion of the '98, but that sounds very 70's! There is also some covers such as Cream and basically have not disdained the freakbeat in the meta and 60's! So a good album, without infamy and without praise, only recommended to those who have already 'behind a big collezzione british bands.
The book is a collection of photographs from the early 80's Mod scene in southern England and most of them never seen before. Darren Russell captures in his images: the style, attitude and passion of a young scene and totally devoted to this style and atrimenti totally ignored by most 'at that time. The influence and Mod 'now firmly established through the stores fashion sites in the main streets of London, Milan, Paris, Madrid and has influenced countless pop bands. A long but 'everything was done in a more natural or spontaneous, and this guy, now photographer said the main British magazines, gave us a glimpse into the lives of those times. Great book with a lot of really beautiful photographs in black and white, some containing "guys still in circulation" in Our Scene. To have no doubt!
24 other gems of pure danzereccio and clubbin 'R'n'B, the style of the previous 3 disc set, this collection makes us more' to see how the King, a record label is comparable to a "bottomless pit", in miniproduzioni artists almost unknown field of view of American R & B, with pearls in the form of 45 rpm vinyl hidden anywhere. You can not spend more words, only to be bought and must be listened greedily '! And 'without a doubt a fundamental work for every self-respecting modernist and surely you will find the best record stores specializing in black music! ... Masterpiece!
There are 7 pieces of rockblues the style of the first Faces of Rod Stewart and Humble Pie with Steve Marriott. Not by chance in a collage inside the CD covers vinilche are both pictures of each other that. Well, and 'a Mod band with a sound distinctly early 70's, or as he calls someone: "Mod 69 Rock"! Great job, and whereas 'un'autoproduzione with inside special interpretations of the blues in the key more' white of course. I recommend it to everyone, unfortunately it is only through the band's website!
I'd call the dictionary Mod for excellence, but too little for enclosing the whole panorama MOD, but complete because it touches many facets of mod culture. It presents in alphabetical order a little 'all the themes that characterize the culture mod clothes, music, fashion, programs, clubs. Each "definition" contained in the dictionary presents a brief history and several pictures, I mean for example with the definition under the Action A we can find the band, under the B Bass shoes, under the Northern Soul N, M Mary Quant, and R ready Steady Go, are just some examples of what one may encounter while reading. A good job search and collection of these three authors have shown that mod being, everything that touched him most during their lifetime. The book comes in around 300 pages in pocket format, even though the weight made from coated paper does not make it completely pocket but gives a good picture of the endless printing. A bit 'for all to show that MOD has never gone out of fashion.

Great book with great notes report on the different boutiques and tailors for men and the different styles adopted by them. And a revival throughout the English style for men from the early 60's to early 70's, with a socio-cultural change that made history called "The Peacock Revolution" (The revolution of the peacock). This book and imprisons iconografizza: models, photographers, shops and celebrities 'who have launched this scene, giving the "Swingin' London" a sense of positiveness ', great atmosphere and opportunity' for change. Precisely tracked down the photographs of the publishing house V & A has meso available its archives, we are given a glimpse of how even the Englishman could finally dress and rediscover herself, breaking up with what was then the gray conformity of the dress tailoring the so-called "upper class". An essential book for those who love the English style and a good read that describes the models and the historical context in which the photos were taken!
Another (say decent) compilation of Acidjazz that reprinting the best of this famous and stylish record manager. Dee Graham has worked at Polydor and it 'been a friend of many artists of the 60's / Mod London as: Steve Marriott (given that sound' too in Moments), Sharon Tandy, Tony Rivers and the Castaways and the Fleur de Lys. Great guitar player, also play in some live concerts of Them, the Walker Brothers and aituo 'Pink Floyd on certain dates of a tour in which Syd Barrett leave' the band for a time, during the beginning of 1967. So not being a fool is on his own as a producer and what you hear on this record, there are 16 of his best bands ranging from soul / pop to beat hammond grooves. Not bad though not essential, recommended only for those who have much material soul / mod already 'in his possession!
This book, written by Kevin Cann, assistant reporter but also the singer in the nineties, and 'was translated into Italian by Arcana Editions and provides us a complete picture of the world lived in London since David Bowie glam aesthetic Modernism - Defining this book like the Bible that should be on the nightstand of every adortaore the Thin White Duke is perhaps a bit 'risky but is a credit to the painstaking work done by Cann. A diary of over 330 pages, full of news, curiosities and numerous photos that reconstructs in detail the life and career of British singer since 1947, the year of his birth, until 1974 with the release of the album Diamond Dogs. Among sudden change of look and hair that stretch and swell to testify on the genetic mutations of Bowie moved from the Mod to the hippie, the fascination with space flight of his Major Tom to the celebrated cutting the cut performed to sing glam-trash to the tune of Rebel Rebel, "Your mother is confused, not sure if you're a boy or a girl."
Sonik Kicks, third (and apparently last) album, produced by Simon Dine and resumed the conversation of the previous two, showing us, since the cover, a revived going to experience it, not always behind the proven formulas of English pop. The electronic beats of Green, in fact, they combine perfectly with the choirs at the edge of Northern Soul, quite in contrast to the sparse vocal line, closer to electro-wave episodes starting year 80, which is balanced by a wonderful guitar, drowned by Echo / Delay and Wah, in the approach un'estremizzazione Nick McCabe's guitar. Sister of the already superb sound Echoes Round the Sun, showing a Modfather displaces entirely at ease in ideologically opposed to his land, just as heart warming and ears of the listener. The next The Attic is nothing but a nice divertissment, where the echoes of sprouting Orcherstral Manoeuvres in the Dark, both short and irresistible as anything else does not ask to be heard again. The strength of Sonik Kicks, in fact, lies in the fact that all the various "citations" and experiments are perfectly balanced with Weller's compositional style, easily recognizable and shown in the foreground, as if to hide the traces of the Kinks (That Dangerous Age), Blur (When You're Overgrown Garden's) and new friends Kasabian (Round the Lake). With Sonik Kicks, Paul Weller, shows us that despite advancing age and white hair, his disheveled creative urgency remains intact, even infecting even the large group of guests (including the inevitable Noel Gallagher, Graham Coxon and Steve Craddock) ready to get involved in roles totally unexpected and pleasantly surprising.
ModJazz seventh chapter of the saga, but this time with more pieces' sung and very close to R'n'B. 24 songs are all ballabilissime, even six of them never printed before and rediscovered by demos or acetates. I must say that you can not 'spend much more,' cause ever since, and 'out this collection of disks and is' always had an eye of regard to the first "dancing" to music, it also has a comprehensive booklet of 12 color pages, it explains, and as' use for the collection of Kent, the history of the individual artist and sung by him. Excellent and essential to have at all costs!
They are a band with influences from 60's and their melodies are very vivcine bands like The Beatles, The Byrds, The La's and the Kinks, are considered by the British press one of the best new Mod bands of the country and not surprisingly they were immediately put under signed to Acid Jazz Piller. The band consists of: Scott Howells (guitar, vocals), Justin Beynon (guitar, vocals), Jamie Taylor (bass vocals) and Meirion Townsend (drums vocals). The multi-instrumentalists Howells and Townsend joined in a musical project in late 2008 and used it for their first test a subscale of a tattoo shop in Aberdare, after some months of tough tests performed for the first time the club Cardiff Ten Feet , and in October of 2010 the band realized 'his first single (I want you girl / In My Mind) for a local record label (See the monkey, do the monkey Rec). After making the video for their single, they were noticed by actor Jonny Owen, who will present 'to representatives of show business and were put in touch with Liam Gallagher to launch his clothing line Pretty Green all'Islington Club in London . Here 'on the launch of the second single was short (One Way Street / Day too long) for Acid Jazz in August 2011 and their current first LP in October of that year.
Born in 1988 in a small town 'native Swedish mother and Iranian father, after a report in his time as a teenager that led to depression, began to travel the world coming to New York and discovered that he had an innate passion for the sounds' black such as jazz, blues and soul. In his album he recorded in Stockholm in 2 days and 2 nights (as reported by the back cover) has recorded the beauty of 15 songs ranging from soul to R'n'B, passing from ska, the famous artists of the 60's. The album is really very good and his voice 'powerful and I must say that, although we know that white singers have a march in less than their colleagues of color, she' has failed to give a nice tone 'of blues his "singing", doing the work really be "back '"! Under the supervision of one of the "fathers" of the Mod movement Swedish Frederik Ekander (Upper Society Stockholm) and the producer of Acid Jazz: Eddie Piller, this young artist has every reason to make a long career! good record
After his first major short film "Young Souls", Dean comes up with this second job where impeccable Jamie Parr, Thomas McGrath and Scott Simpson Frasier talking Ivy League look, endless nights of dancing in clubs and Mod or r'n'soul collezzioni of their dark soul, R'n'B and ModJazz. So how we speak, lives, eats and sleeps Basic Mod!
Five piece band from Cardiff makes the track a beautiful album of 11 tracks, sounds that fish away from a sixties pop, garage and R & B modern twist. Nontrivial discounted it, make up their sound with the car horn and a light touch of electronic keyboard is not too much that is mixed with basic instruments: bass, guitar and drums. Rich in choirs and choruses easily help catchiness, arranging some songs also a good dance track. Digipack minimalist-inspired vinyl folder with no plastic, complete the graphic work quite pleasant. A beautiful new discovery to get in line! 100% MOD! link: www.themethod.eu

Released in 2010 but reprinted today because of various songs that appeared in several commercials, this second work of this Welsh artist has a soulful turn more 'pop the old one. You have 10 songs that the artist has written with the help of Albert Hammond, producer and arranger of the work. The fame of the earlier work led to the sounds, say a little more 'business, but the vein soul feels still very influential, and not detract from the beauty of her "Endlessly" I recommend to everybody' cause you can 'find priced more 'than affordable (8.90 euros).
Great report on the Who and why 'in 1974 they released the rock opera based on the life of a young Mod in the first 60, but the sopratttutto' cause they also developed the film and what to behave 'its release in 1979. It also describes minutely the estabilishment of modernist class youth in the 60's and how this development is' to reappear in the first 80 and second in the 1994 revival, all annotated by experts of the "Mod cultures" such as: Terry Rawlings and Paulo Hewitt , already 'writers of biographies of many groups or artists of the Mods and the Mod scene in the 60's and today, as well as dJ Eddie Piller' manager of Acid Jazz Records and Dave Edwards dJ R'n'B and soul of the Mod scene today. So 90 minutes of excellent period films also include interviews by the BBC to young Mods in Brighton! To the detriment of the graphics on the DVD, really trivial and poor, I must say that the purchase is really worth it. Precious!
Reduced to a trio after the death of a component that is dedicated to the disc, the band released for the first time a disc for the European market, brilliantly overcoming any reference to the current pop scene with a great writing songs. The album winds its way through 11 songs, mock orchestral folk-pop, rhythm and supple vocals casual wrap around the sun and naive ballad "Box" and also provides space for watercolors folk "Autumnal", and dare not yield to nostalgic cues baroque. A scathing and ironic "Apocalypse Blues" and a superb "Out Of Line" restores the nobility of the finest pop, with an amazing groove of bass and keyboards, from the natural timbre. Poetry and disenchantment with the two tracks in Welsh, or the contagious chant of "Pan Ddaw'r Nos" and the more indolent "Mynydd Hud", but also reckless opera plots for the refined psychedelic ballad "Etiquette". This album deserves to be heard, especially for lovers of folk-pop.

Record of this great band out of London "hammond groove style", all R'n'B and jazz with hints of sitar and mellotron on the style of Big Boss Man We find in this new "musical project", one or two familiar faces to the Mod scene say: "upper class", as Andy Lewis on bass, who together with Paul Weller and Pete Twyman Miles Chapman give us these 12 pieces really groovy and danceable , essential for any young Mod which comes as close to the sounds' hammondjazz! So another central part of this label, which is great after redeeming the past productions very understated! Although this album I recommend to all .... to have a 100%!
This compilation, and 'really intriguing, and' the best of all EPs in 45 rpm format, this label has put out over the past 2 years, for groups and artists on the UK Mod of the 60's! We have therefore rare pieces of Steve Marriott & The Moments, The Clique, The Muleskinners, Richard Kent Style, Fleur De Lys and many other British artists of the soul or R'n'B. 24 songs are really hard to find 'and I recommend that you have all the Mods that love this type of sounds. After the various compilations, say not so exciting on the contemporary scene, finally a beautiful collection of rarities' Mod to have no doubt! ... Highly recommended!
Excellent record in national output for this quintet ModJazz with soul influences, where the already 'proven experience now more' than twenty years in the music of Michael Pingitore plus the beautiful voice of Violet Rodani Adami that with an experience of singing, can to become versatile in the soul / jazz and fully complete this album with 10 songs and 4 of them covers of soul and jazz greats of the most 'version, "Light My Fire" by Morrison in the key of course more' groove! Nothing more to say, 'that you have undoubtedly recommended purchase for all!
This compilation contains 25 songs composed by groups such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers or the likes of Link Wray, Cher and Johnny Cash! It 'almost everything from dirty rock, soul and blues with country intrusion in some cases, and fundamentally, and' the basis of what I create 'musically within the circle of the former were "confederates" in the southern U.S. between '68 and '75. A compilation that traces and outlines what this music through his big influence of black music to a whole generation of diets American boys until then mistreated by their own countrymen from the north, making them stand out and create a unique sound that influences' too much British rock bands of that period (see Faces, or umble pie). Good collection for those who want to know the bands that marked an era southern and especially to see how the soul and the blues permeates' through the then working-class South American!
This new work of Kaiser and 4th leaves me a little 'baffled why' is a powerpop revisited the style of an early '80s new wave! We have 13 songs where the echoes of powerpop and soiled by dark synths and vocals, also sung, we refer to groups such as Soft Cell and New Order (more 'or less huh!). Certainly the classic pieces are also found "sun" of powerpop, some even end with a little 'psychedelic, but we say that the group while still having a big following in the United Kingdom, is not' managed to carve out a niche of fans well-defined Europe, especially for the continued research and draw their own sound that makes them recognize between the UK indie scene of the other bands! If I strike a blow for them I can tell you that after all of the disc and Amazon 'cheap (about 6 pounds) and if nothing else, you hear something different in indie piattume the landscape, I can also' tell you also that as style are not evil at all pole or 3-button jacket. But you know ', that the clothes while permeating through the imagination of youth Mod class Londoners, and not make a difference and' the sound that counts in the end! Recommended only for those who love India too!

Recorded in London at Konk Studios in July and August last year and burned in Madrid at the end of the same, that of Garin Alex Diez, alias "Cooper", and 'his work in the recording field from 4th when they split the Los Flechazos. He added a well-dosed mellotron and sitar in some of its 10 pieces that make up the album thus giving ', the psychedelic reflections very elegant, which produces the type of powerpop. The promotion via the Internet and then sending the radio broadcast week after week, a piece at a time, so by growing 'interest in his new "job" that, in my opinion does not differ much from those already' products. All neat and well arranged powerpop vaguely reminiscent of his former Flechazos, but without the utiliuzzo Hammond organ and with the addition of a guitar in more'!!.. I are avid a fan, and for me 'always a great PURCHASE recommended to all!
